Words cannot express how grateful Tom and I feel to each and every one of you. Your prayers, love, and support have made our adoption journey possible. I know we had mentioned we were going to do one more fundraiser before we pick up our baby boy in December, however, after much prayer and consideration, we have decided to end our fundraisers for now. When we first started this journey we set a goal to make $15,000. To us, that number seemed high and like a crazy amount to ask for and to be honest, we actually felt like we would never be able to get there. To our surprise, we are almost there! To be exact, we are only $694 short of our goal. It is hard to believe we are that close to what seemed like an unachievable amount. To say the least, we are incredibly humbled, truly touched and beyond grateful for your generosity. Through this process, we have learned how many people are rooting for us, and what it means to be happy and have joy for others. We have learned what true friends are, we have learned what support is, what genuine service looks like and most importantly what Christ-like love means. We could not have done these fundraisers alone. We had an amazing team of friends and family behind us, you all know who you are. I know one day our little guy will look back and be touched by all of those who helped us get him here. Thank you!
For those of you that are still wanting to donate, the GoFundMe is still active and we are still accepting donations. Therefore, if you would like to help us officially get to that $15,000 goal, you still can! I know several have mentioned not wanting to donate through the GoFundMe. If you are of those people, you are more than welcome to give us your donation directly, or if you would like to remain anonymous Kim Davis is happy to collect it as well. We have discussed having another fundraiser in the spring after he is home with us. However, at this time we are focusing on getting everything ready to meet him and bring him home. We also thought by doing a fundraiser after he is home it would be a great time for everyone to meet him. Of course, if we decide to do that, I will be announcing on both Instagram as well as the blog. All donations have been and continue to be a HUGE help in us bringing our boy home!
Our message today is simple. Thank you, we love you and are forever grateful to you! You have helped make our dream of having a family and becoming parents come true.
