About

Welcome to Iron Wildflower, we are so happy you found us and are excited for you to follow along.  This has been a dream of mine for years, and thanks to my husband Tom, who has always pushed me to pursue my dreams here it is.  We are excited you are here and hope you enjoy following along.

Our blog is named Iron Wildflower for several reasons. Mostly my deep love for wildflowers. I have always loved that wildflowers grow in places that people least expect them.  My grandmother would always call me unique, and say, “in a field full of roses you are the wildflower”.  I gained a deep love for the meaning and symbolism behind these beautiful flowers as a young girl.

Iron is one of my favorite metals. Iron is strong, it’s one of the most important metals, it antiques and rusts easily and I love it. For me, it is symbolic to the life experiences Tom and I have had.  We have had to rely on our old fashioned love for each other through our trials and have gained great strength as well. Sometimes in life, it is not easy to be strong, but the strength comes through the difficult times. We want this to be a place where we can talk about these trials and how we have become stronger through them. We want to show that the Rust that each of us has is what makes us who we are.

Lastly, we felt like the two words played off each other nicely, and the hidden meaning behind it all is why we chose it.  I believe wildflowers are some of the strongest flowers, they are exposed to some of the worst conditions, yet seem to always grow in those places that need the extra beauty, places we deem hopeless.  It is my hope that together we can all be the wildflowers of this world.  We can make the world a more loving and beautiful place through our strength and grow in all the areas people think we can’t. I believe we all have a little wild deep within our souls and that we truly Belong Among The Wildflowers.

Thank you again for stopping by.  We hope you enjoy your time here and that you let your souls run free.
